About Us
The Belgrade Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency, responsible for all law enforcement duties within the city limits of Belgrade with a service population of over 13,000 residents. The Department consists of 29 sworn officers and 5 civilian employees.
The department led by the Chief of Police, who is assisted by the Deputy Chief of Police, and consists of two Bureaus: Field Operations and Administrative Services. The Deputy Chief also oversees Professional Standards and Training for the agency.
The Field Operations Bureau is commanded by a Captain, who reports to the Deputy Chief. Field Operations is our largest and most visible component, consisting of the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigations Division.
The Patrol Division is supervised by four shift Sergeants, who report to the Operations Captain. The Patrol Division includes our Code Enforcement Officers, who handle parking enforcement and animal control duties.
The Criminal Investigations Division is supervised by a Detective Sergeant and consists of two general Detectives, two School Resource Officers, and one Detective who is assigned to the Missouri River Drug Task Force.
The Administrative Services Bureau is supervised by a Police Administrative Manager, who reports to the Chief of Police. Administrative Services consists of Business and Accounting, Records, and Evidence.
