Application for Report Release
This form is used to request the release of criminal justice information to include any police reports. To request a police report or any other criminal justice information please print this form, fill it out and fax to the Belgrade Police Department at 406-388-4708 or email the Police Department. Once the application is received it will be sent to the Belgrade City Attorney for review then the release must be approved by Gallatin County District Court. This process may take in excess of a month to complete. The report will not be released if the investigation is ongoing.

Pursuant Belgrade Resolution Number 2019-16 (PDF), The Belgrade Police Department maintains custody of property that is turned in as found property, or collected by officers for three months before the property is destroyed, returned to the finder, donated, or sold at public auction to the highest bidder. If you turn found property over to the Belgrade Police Department, please tell the receiving officer if you would like to have the property returned to you, if an owner is not located.
If you have lost any property and wish to check if your belongings have been turned into the Belgrade Police Department, you can check the found property report located at Portal Website. This report runs every day. It shows all found property that has been turned in to the Belgrade Police Department over the past 90 Days and is currently in the custody of the Belgrade Police Department.
If you believe any of the property listed on this report belongs to you, please call the Belgrade Police Department at 406-388-4262 to describe the property and to begin the claim process.
Home Security Check Request
The Belgrade Police Department will gladly keep an eye on your house while you are away on vacation (if you live in the city limits). Though this check in no way guarantees that you property will be safe from vandalism or burglary, it does provide the information needed to contact you if a crime were to occur and to detect criminal activity at your house if we encounter it.

Mail in Dog Registration Form
This form allows you to apply for and receive your yearly dog registration through the mail. Please read the form carefully and provide all of the required documents when mailing your form to the City of Belgrade. Failure to provide the required documents will result in a delay in the processing of the registration. Additionally Dog Registrations may be purchased in person at the Belgrade City Hall Building at the First Floor, Main Window, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.

Request for Restitution
This form should be completed when a monetary loss is incurred as a result of a crime. This form needs to be signed by the person claiming the loss and the signature needs to be notarized. Please complete the highlighted sections only all other areas will be completed by the investigating officer.

Ride Along Program- Application, Agreement and Release
The Belgrade Police Department allows individuals to ride along with an officer during his shift. If you are interested in a ride along, please complete the attached forms and turn them into the Belgrade Police Department during regular business hours.
