Teen Advisory Group, or TAG, is a teen social group run for and by teens! TAG typically meets twice a month: for a Business Meeting to determine upcoming social events, and for the social events themselves.
Business meetings are open to all interested teens! For January, we'll talk about our program successes (and misses) over the past few months, and events/programs you'd be interested in for the rest of the winter and spring.
TAG events can have a wide array of themes and activities... from scavenger hunts to water gun fights to adulting classes, and everything in between. These are events are chosen by the teens for the teens at the business meeting. And the library provides the means to pull these events off.
Teens (ages 12-18/grades 6-12) are invited to attend our Teen Advisory Group business meeting on Tuesday, February 7 at 5:30 PM to chat about our program successes (and misses) over the past few months and to get your input on what you’d like to see in the coming months! Snacks will be served, of course.
P.S. Did you know that participating in TAG business meetings can count toward volunteer hours? Hope to see you there! (No RSVP needed.)
Did you know that February is American Heart Month and Feb. 12-18 is Heart Failure Awareness Week? One thing we can do to be prepared for helping others in emergencies, such as a heart event, is to be trained in CPR, and how to stop bleeding. As a program in our #Adulting teen event series, teens (ages 12-18/grades 6-12) are invited join us for a special hands-only CPR and Stop the Bleed training led by Central Valley Fire District staff. Dinner will be provided.
