Belgrade Water Resource Recovery Facility

Belgrade Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) Overview

The Belgrade WRRF was commissioned in September 2022. It is capable of treating up to 1.74 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater. The WRRF operates 24 hours a day. It utilizes a combination of treatment techniques, including screening, grit removal, oxidation ditches, waste activated sludge, and secondary clarification. Treated water is discharged as irrigation water at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport or through three infiltration/percolation beds. Solids are either discharged to a holding cell or hauled to the Logan Landfill for disposal.
