Montana Crops: Past & Present; OLLI @ MSU Presentation

Thursday, September 21, 2023

Jack Riesselman, host of Montana Ag Live, will be discussing the history of what crops Montana producers have grown throughout the decades during this free OLLI @ MSU presentation.

Changing markets have had a huge influence on what crops Montana producers grow. From barley used for brewing, to sugar beets during Prohibition, to peas, carrots, and herbs, and back to the rise of local brewing, John Riesselman, host of Montana Ag Live, will discuss the how the changing markets have affected the commercially grown crops around the state.

This is a free community event partnered with OLLI @ MSU. Pre-registration through the OLLI website is recommended but not required.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, Sept 21 from 6-7:30PM, with a social hour and refreshments starting at 5:30PM.

Visit our Fall OLLI page for more information and registration.
