The City of Belgrade is updating its zoning code, which has not been substantially updated since 1977. The City is interested in incorporating concepts of a form-based code which regulates things like building height, streetscape and setbacks rather than the use of a parcel. PROJECT UPDATE: After a few years of hard work, the consulting team and city staff are finalizing a FIRST DRAFT of the Belgrade Zoning Code Update, with a goal of making it more user friendly and incorporating the Belgrade Downtown Design Plan.
Key pieces of the Draft Code are available on this page for public review, including:
- A summary of the changes made to the existing Zoning Code
- The Draft Zoning Map - also available as an interactive map to give geo-located input
- The Draft Use Table
- The Definition of Uses
- The Draft Design Guidelines
